Boosting research on healthy
and sustainable eating patterns
FNH-RI connects food, nutrition and health research across Europe by linking data, methods, facilities and expertise into one interoperable research infrastructure.
Our Vision
The vision for 2050 is a European food environment that naturally supports responsible choices, benefiting both personal health and environmental sustainability. Ultimately, our goal is to:Â
- foster the transition to sustainable food system
- the reduction of non-communicable diseases
- and the engagement of consumer and citizen.
Connecting the dots in food, nutrition and health
The challenge
Food and health research is often split across different disciplines, data formats, methods and national systems, making comparison and integration difficult.
The solution
FNH-RI creates a shared digital road network for research by linking data, standards, facilities, training and services into one coordinated European infrastructure.
Research and infrastructure projects
Projects across the FNH-RI ecosystem help build interoperable data, methods, tools and research capacity.
